The Dyson Supersonic™ Professional hair dryer has been specially designed with professional hairdressers in mind, with a filter designed to meet the needs of busy hairdressers. There is a Professional hair styling concentrator. The consumer model, on the other hand, has a standard hair styling concentrator. The professional model has a longer cable (3.3 meters).

In busy salon environments, contaminants such as hairspray and dust are drawn into the filter by the powerful Dyson digital engine V9. To preserve the technology built into the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer Professional Edition, we designed a deeply charged filtration system with a 2,600 μm woven mesh. Interestingly, during our testing, we identified eight different hairdressing environments around the world. We have designed our filter to adapt to these different environments.

In all countries except the USA and Canada, the Sensitive Drying Head is included in the box with the purchased product and can also be purchased separately. The wide-tooth comb head is available for purchase in many countries. [Markets may change based on local product offerings]

To maintain performance, your filter needs to be cleaned regularly. Flashing white LED lights let you know. You can clean your filter by following the instructions in the filter cleaning booklet that came with your hair dryer or by using the video and guide on this page. If the three red lights remain on after cleaning, turn off your hair dryer and contact a Dyson specialist.
